Elizabeth Wreakes

Elizabeth is a Paralegal based at our Sheffield office in the Prison Law team. She joined the firm in May 2008 and has now completed her law degree at Sheffield Hallam University.

Prior to joining Howells Solicitors, Elizabeth worked as a CARAT Worker for HMP & YOI Doncaster. In this role, Elizabeth gained valuable experience surrounding the issues faced in prison and the needs and expectations of prisoners incarcerated. As such, Elizabeth’s ability to relate to the experiences encountered by prisoners is appreciated by those who instruct her.

Elizabeth specialises in all areas of prison law, in particular, categorisation, licence recall, hdc and adjudication charges. She is a keen advocate, representing prisoners before the Independent Adjudicator.
