At Howells we have a specialist Prison Law Team. Our team has considerable experience in dealing with a wide range of cases relating to the concerns of prisoners. Howells has been very successful in challenging the Prison Service in many areas.

The Prison Law Team is part of the Howells Criminal Department and also works closely with our Civil Liberties Team. This ensures we deliver outstanding client care and excellent service to our clients within Howells and do not need to refer to alternative organisations.

The Prison Law Team deals with all areas of prison law including representing inmates before the Independent Adjudicator or Parole Board, taking action against the Prison Service by Judicial Review Proceedings and advising regarding categorisation, complaints, disciplinary matters etc.
