Our ‘no fuss, fixed fee’ services for children’s matters are designed to give you peace of mind over costs at what can be a stressful time. This is not ‘law on the cheap’ – you still get the same high quality legal advice but the straightforward nature of certain proceedings means that our expertise can be used to progress matters much more quickly – saving time, money and upset. The emphasis is on a professional, efficient, cost-effective service, allowing you to resolve issues and move on as swiftly and painlessly as possible.

Stage 1 – Initial half hour consultation.
This will allow us to assess your case and advise you on the most appropriate course of action, while also identifying whether a fixed fee service would be an option for you.
Stage 2 – Correspondence
From £150 + VAT
A letter to your former partner and/or a referral to mediation. Forwarding their response on to you for instructions.
Stage 3 – Drafting application for court proceedings
From £249 + VAT
If you decide that you want to issue court proceedings we will prepare and issue the application for you. Please note that there is also a separate Court fee of £215 applicable.
Stage 4 – Representation at First Hearing in Sheffield, Rotherham or Barnsley.
From £350 + VAT
We can represent you at a directions appointment (listed for under one hour) in Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley.
Stage 4a – Representation at First Hearing in Chesterfield
From £450 + VAT
We can represent you at a directions appointment (listed for under one hour) in Chesterfield
Advice on Cafcass report
From £249 + VAT
Preparing a Statement
From £349 + VAT
We can draft a statement on your behalf as directed by the Court during the proceedings.

Disbursements such as court fees, process servers fees (if necessary), advising you on reports filed by the professionals appointed to your case, mileage or in emergency proceedings necessary to preserve the health or welfare of your child. Howells Solicitors have been fundraising to support local charity Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice by raising money through competitions and prize draws.
The Rotherham law firm ran a competition to win a huge chocolate box, with all donations going to the charity. The winner was Julie Roden.
They managed to raise £38 for their charity of the year Bluebell Wood, an amazing charity who care for children and young adults with a shortened life expectancy.
