Howells Solicitors are due to start major refurbishment of their head office at Bridge Street in Sheffield City Centre.

Following months of planning, work is due to commence at the beginning of October 2016. Plans are set in place to bring the building up to the highest standard for our clients and staff.

The significant investment will see a vast improvement to the building. The upper floors of the building will undergo an extensive refurbishment to enable the firm to occupy more office space for staff. The ground floor will be refurbished to provide a new welcoming reception area for clients, with easier access.

Talking of the project plans Peter Mahy, Managing Partner at Howells Solicitors, commented “We are very excited to be starting the project after months of planning. The investment will have huge benefits for both our clients and staff.

“Being able to refurbish a key building on Bridge Street will enhance the look and feel of the area, complementing the extensive works carried out through the councils ‘grey to green’ scheme in recent months along West Bar and Bridge Street.

“Howells have been based at this head office for over 20 years with a prime location adjoining our offices at Richfield House which overlook the courts. The refurbishment is a major investment and a demonstration of the firm’s commitment to continue to provide high quality legal advice. ”

Project managers; Ultimate Commercial Interiors are set to begin works early October and are expected to take up to 8 weeks, with little or no disruption to the surrounding area.

Mark Hickey, Director of Ultimate said “It has been a real pleasure working with the Howell’s team to bring this project to fruition. There has been a lot of hard work, up front and behind the scenes which have paid off. The scheme will not only enhance the client and staff working environment, but it will also bring the new office facility in line with their adjoining building Richfield House completed in 2012.”
