This week we boast a new jewel in our crown, as senior solicitor and collaborative law specialist, Wendy Bailey, joins our matrimonial team in Barnsley.
With 27 years’ experience of Family Law in the South Yorkshire region, Wendy, who is Barnsley born and bred, joins Howells’ rapidly expanding matrimonial department to head up our team in Barnsley.
Wendy says “I have known Howells as a leading Family Law firm in South Yorkshire for 25 years of my professional career, and know that they have a very large and reputable team there.
“I’m excited to return to work in Barnsley and focus on an area of law that I love”
Wendy joins Howells, having headed up the Family Law team at a firm in Sheffield for the past 13 years. She is a past president of Barnsley Junior Chamber and is a founding member of the ‘Ladies who Lunch’ group.
In her spare time, Wendy is also the Chairman of the Lamproom Musical Theatre Company in Barnsley, where she stars in leading musical performances.
Wendy is also a Governor at a local Barnsley school.
Wendy, received plenty of praise and compliments on social media from past clients when it was announced she was leaving her previous firm. She, brings a wealth of experience to Howells Solicitors, and specialises in divorce, separation, children and high value asset cases.
Wendy is also an advanced member of the Law Society Family Panel, a Resolution Accredited specialist and a Collaborative Law specialist, which is a rare specialism in the Barnsley area.
