Howells Solicitors

11 Feb, 2016

Howells immigration team has been successful in a landmark judicial review in the case of G and H v Upper Tribunal and SSHD [2016] EWHC 239 (Admin). Howells appealed against the decision by the Upper Tribunal where an accepted victim of trafficking was refused asylum. This was the first reported case of a successful substantive claim for judicial review against a decision of the Upper Tribunal that dealt with issues of procedural fairness, country guidance and expert evidence. On February 11th, the Administrative Court handed down judgment overturning the refusal.
