Howells Solicitors have been awarded the Deaf Law Quality Mark; an accreditation endorsed by the Solicitors Regulation Authority which shows that a law firm is Deaf aware.
The quality mark demonstrates Howells commitment to giving quality legal advice to Deaf clients, providing interpreters and ensuring an accessible and welcoming culture throughout the firm.
The accreditation was awarded to Howells by RAD (Royal Association of the Deaf) following an assessment of their services. The aim of the Deaf law quality mark is to achieve better access to legal services for deaf clients and in doing so, removing the barriers faced by Deaf people.
Following the accreditation RAD will now recommend deaf clients to use the services at Howells.
Howells HR Officer Emily Brown commenting on the accreditation said “The Deaf Law Quality Mark is a great initiative to encourage law firms to improve their deaf awareness and provide an inclusive service to deaf clients and break down barriers. We are delighted to have been awarded this quality mark as it shows Howells’ commitment to providing a quality service to all our clients.”
