Howells Solicitors are delighted to announce that they have been shortlisted in the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2018.
Howells has been shortlisted in the Diversity and Inclusion category; an award for showing a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and developing opportunities for professional advancement in law including removing the legal profession’s barriers to entry.
Howells has been shortlisted for this award after showing that the firm mentors aspiring lawyers from all ethnic backgrounds and that the firm also supports staff qualifying through non-traditional routes such as CILEx. Howells is very dedicated to being an inclusive equal opportunities employer, as 45% of Partners are female which is higher than the national average for firms of comparable size.
Rubina Khanom, Chartered Legal Executive and committee member on the Association of Asian Women Lawyers, has also recently attended the Diversity Legal Awards 2017.
The winners of the Yorkshire Legal Awards will be announced at an Awards Ceremony on 11th October 2018.
