Danny specialises in litigation in both the employment tribunal and is instructed by both employees and employers to regularly prepare proceedings and pleadings including grounds of claim, grounds of resistance, witness statements, and schedule of loss.
He is also highly experienced within the corporate sector advising both SMEs and larger businesses navigate through the complicated area of Employment Law.
Danny is regularly instructed to provide advice and assistance in respect of appointment and dismissal of senior employees; redundancies; preparation and advice on settlement agreements, contracts of employment (including executive service agreements), policies and staff handbooks; TUPE; restrictive covenants; national minimum wage; working time; whistleblowing and general and strategic HR advice and assistance.
As an advocate, he regularly appears before tribunals and courts throughout the country. He can be briefed to represent clients from preliminary to multi-day hearings.
Danny can provide commercial and pragmatic service to all of his clients and have a no-nonsense approach. He advises clients on their options, including merits and formulating a course of action; and gets to the point in a clear manner.
He studied law and graduated from Cardiff University in 2009. He then completed the Legal Practice Course at University of Sheffield in 2010.
He is currently studying for a Masters in Employment Law at the University of Leicester via distance learning and due to complete the course in 2020. The opportunity to undertake in depth study has enabled Danny to develop his expertise to a high standard for the benefit of his clients.
Furthermore, Danny is due to commence the Higher Rights of Audience course. This is a specialised advocacy qualification. Once completed, he will qualify as a Solicitor-Advocate, sharing the same rights of audience as a Barrister and therefore able to represent clients before any civil court within England & Wales.
He can be instructed to deliver internal training to staff members of your business on any employment law related topic.
