Having served 10 years in the Armed Forces dealing with the administration including Court Martials, Dianne became interested in Criminal Defence work and joined Howells in 1997 as a Criminal Secretary.
She qualified as a Police Station Representative in 1999 and became a Chartered Legal Executive in 2004. Dianne is a Crown Court Litigator and represents clients in all aspects of criminal defence work including murder, sexual offences, serious assaults, fraud, drug and firearm offences, mentally disordered offenders and motoring offences.
R v DM – Newport Crown court – quadruple Murder in Wales having secured a re-trial through the Court of Appeal
R v LD – Sheffield Crown Court – Child Sexual exploitation case with numerous other defendants – acquitted
R v MI – Sheffield Crown Court – Large scale fraud from Asda, prepared for trial and defendant pleaded guilty on a basis
R v JB – Sheffield Crown Court – murder, prosecuted 10 years after event where no body was found, prepared for trial and defendant pleaded guilty to Manslaughter
R v SB – Durham Crown Court – Historical Sexual Offences where the defendant had memory problems due to a previous brain injury
