Misfeasance

Misfeasance in public office is a particularly serious matter. If a police officer has knowingly abused their powers or intending to injure you, you may have a claim for misfeasance. The police have wide ranging powers, so it is vital that they are held accountable for their actions if they exceed their powers.

These type of cases are challenging so it is important that each case is considered on its facts.

If you feel that you have suffered misfeasance by the Police, then please call the civil liberties team and one of the team members will be happy to discuss your case with you.
